I’d be interested to know what IKEA thinks of this website. The site has been around since 2006 and boasts over 1,000 hacks in the last two years alone. Despite the product liability/safety issues of changing the integrity of the product, does this website create a positive or negative reflection on the IKEA brand?
On the one hand the hacks could spur increased purchases and several uses for their products. On the other, does hacking a product inherently undermine the original and intended design and functionality?
